Behavior/Academic Expectation Contract

For The 2008-2009 School Year

 

TO BE A LEADER, I WILL:

 

1.         =          Follow Mr. Shuck’s, Ms. Hughes’, and any other adult’s direction= s at all times.

 

2.         =        Complete all class work whether it is group or individual in a timely fashion. 

 

3.         =        Keep my comments to myself unless I am called upon.

 

4.         =        Be a “team player.” – One who shows respect and cooperation skills towards others.

 

5.         =        Give my best effort in all subject areas.

 

6.         =        Ask questions when I do not understand a new concept.

 

7.         =        Respect others inside and outside the classroom.

 

8.         =        Maintain a positive attitude and show patience towards others.

 

9.         =        Set goals and strive to achieve them.

 

10.         = ;  Practice the term “Self-Control.”

 

“Self Control” – The ability to make the right choices= at the right times.  Having self control is to have the “will power” to stay away from negative = actions, and the courage to walk away from an argument.  Those who practice self control fo= cus on assignments and take on a leadership role.

 

11.         = ;    Take full responsibility for my actions.

 

12.         = ;  Accept my job as a “Role Model.”

 

  &n= bsp; “Role Model” - A person = whose behavior, through words and actions, sets an example for others.  Other people, often those that are younger, try to copy and imitate the actions of their role model.  For this reason, role models must = make good choices and “do the right thing” so that they do not cause others to “do the wrong thing.”

 

 

***LEADER*** - A leader is someone who choices the responsibility to be a positive role model by making good decisions and practicing self control.  A leader stands up for others and l= ends himself as a friend and a teammate.  A leader never gives up= when things get tough, and a leader always thinks of ways to improve.     

 

* By completing this contract, I understand that I have many responsibilities= as a 5th grade student here at Aiken Elementary, and I will give my= best effort each day to respect and obey the rules of this contract.  If I choose to violate any of the = above rules more than five times in a week, I must rewrite this contract as part = of my development to reach my potential here at Aiken.

 

I understand my role as a leader, and I promise to do my best to be a positive role model for others and stand up to those that choice to break the rules.=
